Private Security Agency Regulation Act (PASARA)

PASARA license is a permission under Private Security Agencies Regulation Act, 2005 which must be taken by any entity dealing or wish to deal in Private Security Agency business. The Private Security Agency means an entity which involves in the business of providing Security Guards and other related services at an establishment as an alternate to the police. The operation of the private security agencies is governed by The Private Security Agencies Regulation Act, 2005, popularly known as PSARA.

Requirement

No person or entity can start their operation of providing or training security guards until the PASARA license has been taken.

The concerned authority must complete the process within 60 days from the date of filing an application.

State License or Central?

If the applicant wants to operate business in different state then separate license must be taken. The process for obtaining license is different for each state.
